The Girl in the Mirror | Guest Author: M.G.

Girl

I know that makeup

It’s a decoration for your pain

I know they’ve broken your heart

Again

Oh, my girl

I see us in the mirror

Look up to yourself

It’s okay to be afraid

Please, don’t try to yell

‘Cause no one would hear

Your screams outside the walls

Your mind built around

Don’t worry

I’m here

To destroy what makes you ill

I know it hasn’t passed a day

Without you crying

And I’m still asking why

You can’t put that aside

Hey guys, this short and reflexive poem was written by a friend from school. I invited her to write something for this category, and she wanted to go by the name of M.G. thank you for reading!
