International Relations, MUN and Lewis Capaldi | Life Update

Hey guys! School’s over, June is starting, and I realized it’s been a few months since I wrote a post (I’m so sorry about that!), so I thought I’d share with you some of the stuff that has happened to me so far.

Alright, so the first thing that I’ll tell you about is the Career Field I chose to be part of the next semester. I’m not sure which would be the equivalent in the country you’re reading this, but I chose the “Social Science” field. In it you can find the Law career, the Communication career, the Political Science career, the International Relations career (which is the one i decided I would study), among other careers.

I still can’t believe how at first, I wasn’t sure about which career I wanted to study, but thankfully, I managed to talk to some academics at the university where I’m planning to study the next year and to a fellow blogger (which I’m about to give a shout-out right now because of the huge piece of advice she gave me: Blanca from “Voyager”) and they helped me clear my thoughts and identify my interests and abilities.

And since I was now sure about what I wanted to study, I finally joined the MUN (Model United Nations) of my school. I participated as a moderator of the General Assembly (and may I say, I won the Best Moderator prize lol) and really enjoyed the model. I also loved elaborating the background of the GA; the delegates discussed the topics of ‘International Recognition of New States’ and ‘The Use of Modern Technology for Sustainable Development”. I’ve also been selected as the new Secretary General of the Model for 2020, and I’m already planning on which Models I will be attending throughout this year on 12th grade.

I turned 17, that’s something else. Dancing Queen everybody.

Went through and emotional breakdown, it wasn’t great, but thanks to that, to Spotify and to Peter Capaldi, I got to discover this awesome singer who right now is my favorite. He’s Scottish, likes to call himself “the Scottish Beyoncé”, has an amazing voice and just released his debut album. I definitely recommend him to you guys, specially the songs “Hollywood”, “Hold Me While You Wait”, “Maybe”, and the song which introduced me to him “Someone You Loved” (in its music video Peter Capaldi appears, quick note for whovians).

And that’s it! I’m on summer vacation! Alexa, play Phineas and Ferb’s “Today Is Gonna Be A Great Day” and Rhett and Link’s “I’m On Vacation”. Hopefully I’ll post more often hahah.

How has been 2019 for you so far?
