About

My name is Antonio, I’m a teen boy, bornt in Mexico and proud.

My blogging story:

It all goes back to when I was in 4th grade of elementary school. I used to read about blogs; the fact of having a website by your own and being able to share your thoughts with people across the world had me fascinated. So, I decided to create one. By the time I did this, I was a complete fanboy of Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb, reason why I called my blog “PhinFerInfo y otros más” (it translates to PhinFerInfo and other things); “Phin” being short for Phineas, “Fer” short for Ferb, and “Info” short for information since what I wanted to do with that site was inform my readers about the things that I liked. The thing is, I only made four posts, and all of them were directly plagiarized from WikiPedia, but I liked (actually, I loved) having a blog.

Then, one day I found myself without desire to log in. The same the next day, and the next, and the next week, and the next month. All of this led me to forget the password of that account, and I made no effort to recover it. The website hasn’t been deleted, and I like to keep it that way. You can click here to visit it.

For the following years even though I wouldn’t use my website anymore, I would tell everyone that I met that I, had a blog. You know, I wanted attention.

When I moved to another state, I found children’s book saga by Tom Angleberger, ‘Origami Yoda’, and its website, and discovered the SuperFolder Talkzone. It was a section were the users of the website (called SuperFolders) were able to talk to each other, no matter if you were from USA or Australia or London. After creating my account, I noticed that many of these SuperFolders had a blog. And so, the memories of my old blog came back.

I decided to create a WordPress blog (since they used this platform too), but I had absolutely no idea how to use it. This made me create another blog with Blogger instead. Contrary to the rest, my blog was written in spanish. However, most of the SuperFolders weren’t able to follow it since they had to own a Google account to do so. Thus I deleted it.

After New Year’s celebration, I thought I was ready to have a WordPress website, so I created “OY30’s blog”. OY30 is “Origamiyoda30” for short, which was my SuperFolder name. This time SuperFolders started to visit my website and the blog remained alive. Time passed, and “OY30’s blog” evolved to this: The Great Ant Colony.

What I like to do:

Reading; when I was a child, I used to ask my parents to buy me books every day because I couldn’t handle the feeling of not having anything to read, and I still don’t.

Drawing; my grandad was the best cartoonist of his school, and my dad learned to draw thanks to him. When I got to be able to hold a crayon, my dad began to teach me how to draw. And I haven’t stopped ever since.

Watching movies and watching TV, but also hanging out with my friends.

Writing; having the ability to express your feelings with words, and to play with them, is beautiful.
